Many people these days have so many things in which they are interested in. We all are interested in something, and we all buy things that fit out interests, and we express ourselves in ways with our clothes and our personality, but there is an underlying problem within this. We are becoming so focused and uptight about how we appear to others instead of being ourselves.
Take fads for example... how many of you are victims of a current or recently passed fad? Most girls are, I can't think of any that men are in other than the being awesome fad... which really isn't a fad it's more of an obtainable lifestyle that only the finest of gentlemen have achieved.
But really, there are Uggs, those lame ass rain-boots with the patterns, the Vera-Bradley things (I have no idea what to call the... yeah I don't know) and the many other things that, women in particular, get themselves into because they feel they have to keep up with the rest of the world. And this is not to slight women in any way, men also have their fashion and other fads they follow. There are certain "groups" people decide to pertain themselves to... baggy clothes, and the punk scene, and the scene kids, and even the hipsters, we label ourselves with our clothing and our actions. I don't even know what these labels mean but I know what one looks like.
Seriously... what the hell is a hipster? I have no clue to be honest with you. I do know that they wear scarves and that's pretty much what defines a hipster in my eyes. They also wear flats, which has to ruin the foot's arch. And the skinny jeans these days, what the hell are those about. Nothing against any of these things, I personally just don't understand them. I don't know why we even have to wear clothes to be honest. Yeah there some comfortable articles of clothing but whatever, why don't we just all walk around naked?
About this naked, most girls are practically naked anyways with these yoga pants. And believe me I have nothing against the yoga pants, the work wonders... on the right person. But a lot of these girls that wear them are practically walking around in the nude, everything is visible in those... and I guess for a girl seeking attention, the attention has been sought and good for you in doing so. I don't think I know how to seek attention other than the "act like a complete fool" method. But about these yoga-pants... is there any female now-a-days that does not own a pair? It seems to me like every woman I know owns a pair and LOVES them... and more and more are being warn as we approach the colder weather, which is fine with me, but are they warm? To me they don't see very warm, but they do look comfortable, however very thin, so the wind seems as though it passes right though, a fully permeable membrane if you will.
Yoga pants are a god-send, or gods-send for you polytheists, but they only seem practical for working out, and GOD, if there is such a being, and yes if there was such a being it would know that a good majority of these women that wear these yoga pants are only supporting a fad, and they don't work out in them.
Just be yourself and wear what you want and do what you want, not to support anything that is going on outside of you, but to do it for you and no one else...because all that matters is you, and of course what matters to you, and this could go on and on in a circular argument, so let's end it here.
Goodnight and Goodluck.
God bless yoga pants.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, in a way we are all hipsters. Most of us adhere to some brand or logo. Who doesn't drink Mountain Dew, or play Xbox. That is the way the world is these days, its like a giant culture shock. Where ever you go their is a new fad or product to buy. I guess question we have to ask ourselves is this necessarily a bad thing. Maybe and maybe not. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens to future generations when culture becomes more and more globalized.
